Who We Are

Khokbawa turns Thailand’s biomass waste into biochar, activated charcoal, carbon credits, and clean energy. We work in the real world. Our systems run every day in farms, villages, and factories, not in theoretical models.

The company began in Udon Thani with a grandmother’s charcoal tradition. A new generation transformed that knowledge into modern biochar solutions and built a Thai French company that operates today across Thailand, France, and Africa.
We are also members of the Franco Thai Chamber of Commerce, which strengthens our credibility and international support.

Our Presence

Bangkok, Thailand

Head office. Operations, partnerships, and international growth.

Ban Dung, Udon Thani, Thailand

Biochar and engineering site where we produce biochar at scale and build all our furnaces and machines in house since 2021.

Abuja, Nigeria

Furnace manufacturing site, currently dedicated to local production.

What We Deliver

A single production line creates three high value outputs.

- Biochar for agriculture, soil health, water retention, and carbon storage.
- Activated carbon that replaces expensive imports.
- Carbon removal credits that come from real, traceable production.
- Smokeless briquettes for restaurants and local markets.
- Machinery sales with ongoing maintenance and repeat demand.

Why It Works

Our pyrolysis systems are designed and manufactured entirely in house. There is no licensing, no external dependency, and no hidden technology. This keeps operating costs low and performance reliable.

We source biomass from long term partners and our own eucalyptus plantations.
We control every step from feedstock preparation to export.

We are currently undergoing certification with Ecocert and conducting laboratory testing with Chulalongkorn University for biochar quality and agronomic performance.

Markets Moving in Our Direction

Europe faces strict climate and soil regulations.
Agriculture needs alternatives to chemical inputs.
Carbon removal buyers are searching for supply that is real and measurable.

Most European competitors have high production costs and low vertical integration. Khokbawa produces at lower cost, has full control of its technology, and operates in a region with abundant feedstock.

Global demand for biochar, activated carbon, and carbon removal is projected to grow significantly over the next decade.

Traction

More than 200 furnaces and machines are operating across Thailand and other countries.
Models range from small village units to systems producing up to 3 tons of biochar per day. We can build larger systems when needed.

Thai producers use our machines to build profitable businesses.
Partners abroad adapt our systems to local biomass and energy challenges.
Biochar buyers in France and Europe have already signaled demand for our agriculture grade product.

Impact

Thousands of tons of biomass transformed instead of burned.
Stable carbon stored for the long term.
Water retention and fertilizer reduction observed in field trials.
Jobs created in rural communities.
Clean energy potential using wood gas where needed, including in Nigeria.

Our Roadmap

2026
First exports to the European market.
Biochar production target of 1,000 tons.

Path to 10,000 tons per year as systems scale and demand grows.
Carbon credit methodology progressing for 2027.
Activated carbon expansion.
Recurring European supply contracts.

What We Do

We turn everyday Thai biomass into climate-positive solutions and practical products.

  • Biochar: boosts soil health for farms and industry.

  • Activated charcoal: for filtration, cosmetics and more.

  • Carbon credits: planned future offering to help offset emissions.

  • Custom machines: pyrolysis furnaces, food ovens and other machines built in-house, allowing us to reduce costs and maintain full control over production.

  • Sustainable wood: from our own eucalyptus plantations in Udon Thani.

  • Eco BBQ briquettes: smokeless, long-lasting, perfect for local restaurants and homes.

We turn everyday Thai biomass into useful products with measurable climate impact.

We don’t do hype. We don’t do delays. The planet is burning and biochar works. If you want to build solutions that matter...
